Co-Founder’s Message — Lyne Tilt

For years, I was the one people turned to when life fell apart.

I led wellbeing and pastoral care programs in some of Australia’s top high schools. My role was to help others navigate crisis — to hold space for their grief, overwhelm and burnout.

But while I was guiding others, I was quietly ignoring my own slow decline.

At first, I told myself it was just stress. Exhaustion. Leadership pressure.
The brain fog.
The emotional flatness.
The fatigue that no amount of rest seemed to fix.
The forgotten words in meetings.

I convinced myself it was all normal — until I couldn’t anymore.

When Jacob handed me his book, I saw my own story reflected in his: a silent breakdown creeping in under the surface, easy to dismiss until it's dangerously close to collapse.

My Mother: The Unspoken Fear

While I was working through my own unraveling, I was also watching my mother disappear — slowly, painfully — into Alzheimer’s.

It was devastating to witness. And somewhere deep inside, I began to ask: Is this my future?
The research was confronting: dementia isn’t only genetic. It's metabolic. Blood sugar, inflammation, stress, sleep — these systems shape our brain health long before symptoms appear.

Without knowing it, I was already on the same path.

Jacob’s recovery — and what he’d discovered along the way — gave me a new lens. His transformation wasn’t just inspiring. It was a blueprint.

Together, we realised the Silent Breakdown was everywhere: high-functioning professionals, leaders, caregivers — people who seem fine, but are quietly unraveling. People like I was.

That’s why we founded Jacob & Co Health — to name what’s happening, and to show there’s another way.

Not extreme overhauls.
Not waiting for a diagnosis.

Just small, daily shifts — what we call the 1% Shift — that reclaim your health before the damage is done.

I spent years leading others. Now I help women lead themselves — with clarity, ownership, and agency.

Because strong women don’t dismiss the signs.
We read them.
And we act.

Yours in health,
